Philadelphia Far East Lawyers Group and Philadelphia entrepreneurs raise funds for Pennsylvania Congressman Bryan’s campaign_1

At a recent fundraising event aimed at enhancing collaboration between the Asian community and mainstream American society, business leaders gathered in Philadelphia’s Chinatown. Among them were Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, seated fifth from the left in the front row, and Lin Jianhe, fifth from the left in the second row. The event, held on October 11 at Duck Sauce Seafood Restaurant, was organized by the Far East Law Group to support Congressman Fitzpatrick’s upcoming campaign for re-election in November.

Lin Jianhe, president of the Far East Law Group, expressed that Fitzpatrick’s presence at the event was significant, not only for his re-election bid but also for his contributions towards the development of the Asian community. He thanked Fitzpatrick for attending and extended congratulations on his anticipated successful campaign, acknowledging his efforts to promote harmonious relations within the Chinese community. Lin encouraged local business leaders and community representatives to continue supporting Fitzpatrick’s campaign and hoped the gathering would strengthen ties between the Asian community and the broader American society.

Congressman Fitzpatrick then took the floor to express his gratitude for being invited. He introduced himself as a third-generation Irish immigrant representing various areas, including Northeast Philadelphia, Bucks County, and Montgomery County, in Congress. He serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, where he works to foster relationships among different ethnic groups in the U.S. Fitzpatrick also expressed appreciation for the generous support he received from Lin Jianhe and the community during his primary election.

Recalling a past visit to Washington, D.C., with Chinese community leaders from Philadelphia, Fitzpatrick mentioned how they toured the Capitol and met his colleagues from various states, gaining insight into state circumstances and the federal legislative system. He invited attendees to visit the White House, emphasizing that both the White House and the Capitol are places for the people, managed by public servants. Following his re-election, he hopes to continue serving Pennsylvania and its constituents.

The atmosphere at the event was lively, with attendees enthusiastically donating and capturing memories with group photographs. Among the participating business owners and organizations were the Far East Law Group, K-POT Hot Pot Group, Taihu Seafood Restaurant, Huang Bin Construction Company, Jiudingxuan Hot Pot City, New Century Bus Company, Chinese Community Center, and the Hsieh Sheng Association.
