In his keynote speech, Li Zaiwu, the Secretary of the Rizhao Municipal Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress, highlighted the city’s vision to transform Rizhao Port into a trade port, financial port, logistics port, hub port, and industrial port. He emphasized the need to upgrade traditional industries such as steel, automotive, chemical, pulp and paper, and grains to become more high-end, intelligent, and eco-friendly. At the same time, he underscored the importance of accelerating the growth of emerging sectors like biomedicine, renewable energy, digital economy, and low-altitude economy.

Additionally, the conference also addressed key areas such as industrial development, park construction, public services, and platform operations, unveiling an investment opportunity list for Rizhao that includes 123 projects across three categories: investment attraction, business onboarding, and operational cooperation.
In recent years, Rizhao has focused on cultivating 12 key industrial chains and has established a comprehensive project support mechanism. The city has adopted seven robust measures to enhance the collection of project leads, mobilize societal efforts for project attraction, support existing enterprises in their expansion, and ensure coordinated allocation of resources, all aimed at fostering substantial project development, industrial growth, and overall progress.
