Adam Ant calls off sixth gig in a week over illness

In a recent turn of events, singer Adam Ant has been forced to cancel a scheduled performance at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool due to an inflamed throat. This marks the sixth gig he has postponed during his current UK tour, which has already seen concerts in Cambridge, Southend, Bournemouth, Birmingham, and Guildford called off since October 18.

Fans were left disappointed as many arrived at the venue expecting the concert to go ahead, despite the venue’s announcement indicating that all ticket holders would be contacted with further information regarding the postponement.

Adam Ant, who is set to celebrate his 70th birthday next month, rose to fame in the 1980s with his iconic band, Adam And The Ants. He enjoyed significant success during that era, scoring multiple Top 10 hits, including chart-toppers like “Stand and Deliver,” “Prince Charming,” and “Goody Two Shoes.”
