More important than the economic outlook, JPMorgan Chase CEO Dimon worries that -World War III has begun-

During a recent interview at the annual meeting of the Institute of International Finance (IIF) in Washington, Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan Chase, expressed grave concerns about the current geopolitical landscape, stating that “the third world war has already begun.” With ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, Dimon emphasized that geopolitical issues are now overshadowing economic prospects.

Dimon noted, “Compared to the geopolitical challenges we face, the economic outlook is just a minor issue.” He highlighted his worries about the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, as well as the strengthening alliances among America’s adversaries, including Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran.

He remarked, “They are clearly discussing how to undermine the system that the U.S. and its allies established after World War II,” which he believes facilitated unprecedented global economic growth.

The risks, he warned, are enormous. “World War III has started. You’ve already seen combat operations initiated in multiple countries.”

Dimon revealed that JPMorgan’s risk management team is simulating various scenarios and projecting that the potential economic impacts are “staggering,” particularly in the event of escalating global conflicts.

He also identified nuclear proliferation as “the biggest risk humanity faces,” arguing that it surpasses even climate change.

With a reputation for being politically friendly and effective, Dimon has garnered support from both parties and has been viewed as a potential candidate for Treasury Secretary. After nearly two decades at the helm of JPMorgan, speculation is growing about what challenge he might be ready to take on next.

Despite his ties to the Democratic Party, Republican Senator Mike Rounds from South Dakota recently suggested to Politico that Dimon would be a “good choice” for Treasury Secretary under a Trump administration.

According to a report from The New York Times, Dimon is said to “privately” support Vice President Kamala Harris, though he is reluctant to make any public endorsements. Anonymous sources indicated that Dimon would consider taking on a significant role, including Treasury Secretary, in a Harris-led administration.
