Badaling Great Wall Station welcomes return peak on the 6th day of National Day holiday

On October 6, the sixth day of the National Day holiday, the Badaling Great Wall Station witnessed a surge in returning travelers, with projections indicating that over 10,000 passengers would pass through that day.

To ensure the safety of these travelers, all personnel from the Badaling Great Wall Station police station, part of the Beijing Railway Public Security Bureau, were on duty. Security teams were strategically positioned at both the Badaling Station on the Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-Speed Railway and the S2 line’s Badaling Station.

In an interview, Deputy Chief Guo Zhiyun of the Badaling Great Wall Station police station shared some insights. He reported that more than 50,000 tourists have arrived at the Badaling scenic area via high-speed train during the holiday period. To maintain a secure environment and ensure the safety of visitors, the police have increased their presence in critical areas, including the entrance security checks, ticket inspection points, and the large escalator that leads out of the station. They are also collaborating with the station’s passenger services to efficiently manage foot traffic and improve visibility.

As the National Day holiday comes to a close, Guo pointed out that the Badaling Great Wall Station is transitioning into a return phase. He confirmed that the current security situation is stable, and processes for passenger entry, waiting, and ticketing are functioning smoothly.

With October 7 marking the final day of the holiday, police at Badaling Great Wall Station are advising travelers to stay vigilant with their personal belongings and to keep an eye on elderly family members and young children during their return journeys.
