“We established this farm in 2004 with a total investment of about 32 million yuan. We have 10 standardized breeding greenhouses and currently raise a total of 400,000 meat and egg-laying chickens. Our main markets are in Fujian, Zhejiang, and Guangdong, with daily sales averaging over 100,000 yuan,” explained Deng Weibing, the company’s head and a local leader.
Through the farming of egg-laying and meat chickens, not only has Deng achieved his dream of wealth, but he has also created job opportunities for local residents. Currently, the farm has provided employment for over 30 villagers, with an average monthly salary of nearly 3,000 yuan.
In addition, Huxi Village has established an organic fertilizer company and collaborated with the Lianhui Agricultural Special Cooperative to develop an organic vegetable planting industry using harmless processed chicken manure. This has formed a productive cycle of “chicken farming—chicken manure—organic fertilizer—vegetable planting,” which not only beautifies the environment but also strengthens the village’s collective economy, achieving an annual minimum profit of over 60,000 yuan.
In recent years, the local government has aggressively implemented a talent attraction strategy, establishing the “Huxi Village Talent Fund” to provide quality entrepreneurial and employment platforms. This has encouraged returned talents like Deng Weibing and Wan Qinxiang to successfully start businesses, thereby boosting employment and income for surrounding villagers. Reports indicate that the development of greenhouse vegetable planting and egg-laying chicken farming in Luozhen Town has generated jobs for 300 villagers, resulting in an increase of 160,000 yuan in the collective economy.
A relevant official from the Linchuan District United Front Work Department mentioned that they will continue to carry out initiatives such as “Three Invitations and Three Returns” as well as talent forums to attract skilled individuals back home for entrepreneurship.
