From the 18th to the 19th, several cities, including Yichun and Suihua, are expected to experience a significant drop in temperatures, ranging from 8°C to 12°C. Notably, the eastern part of Harbin and localized areas in Mudanjiang may see temperatures plummet even further, by 12°C to 14°C. Following this cold snap, temperatures across much of Heilongjiang will settle between -3°C and -8°C, prompting residents to prepare adequately for the colder conditions.
According to the cold wave forecast, cities such as Yichun, Suihua, Harbin, Hegang, Jiamusi, Shuangyashan, Qitaihe, Jixi, and Mudanjiang will all experience minimum temperatures dropping by 8°C to 12°C during this period. Additionally, the highest temperatures in Yichun, Suihua, Harbin, Hegang, and Mudanjiang are expected to occur in the early morning hours of the 18th.
The wind forecast also indicates strong gusts from the west to the east, with winds reaching 4 to 6 levels and gusts possibly escalating to 7 to 8 levels on the 18th. Particularly, areas like Daxing’anling may even see winds gusting up to 9 levels on the 19th.
Furthermore, during the daytime and nighttime of the 18th, light snow is forecasted for Daxing’anling, while the northern regions of Heilong might experience mixed rain and snow. As nighttime falls on the 18th, the forecast predicts minimum temperatures of -15°C to -13°C in northern Daxing’anling, -11°C to -9°C in the southern part, and -3°C to -1°C in Shuangyashan and Jixi. Other areas may experience lows between -6°C to -4°C. Residents are advised to stay informed and take necessary precautions against the impending cold.
