Violent robbery on 8th Avenue, police arrest 4 Asian suspects

In an ongoing investigation, the 72nd Precinct of the NYPD, which serves the Sunset Park area of Brooklyn, is on the lookout for four Asian suspects in connection with an attempted robbery. Last month, these individuals allegedly attacked a 49-year-old Asian man in the Chinatown neighborhood along 8th Avenue. During the incident, the victim was struck in the head, and police are now seeking assistance from the public in identifying these suspects.

The incident took place on September 22 at approximately 5:55 PM near the intersection of 8th Avenue and 48th Street. According to police reports, the victim was approached by four unidentified men who demanded his belongings. The assailants were reportedly armed with extendable batons, and during the altercation, they struck the victim on the head, causing lacerations. Fortunately, the robbery was unsuccessful, and the suspects fled the scene. The victim was later treated at a nearby hospital and is currently in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries.

The NYPD has since issued a wanted notice and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
