On October 21, a significant groundbreaking ceremony for key transportation projects was held in Qinghai Province, marking the start of a three-year battle to enhance the region’s infrastructure. The event saw the simultaneous launch of nine major projects with a total investment of 32 billion RMB.
During the ceremony, He Luchun, the Vice Governor of Qinghai Province, announced the kick-off of these critical transportation initiatives.
According to reports, the nine projects include various road segments such as the Daohu Tea Road from Erlangjian to Heimahe, the G227 highway from Guoide to Dawu, the G315 road from Xining to Tulga Te, as well as additional sections of G338 and G345 highways.
He Can, the Director of the Qinghai Provincial Department of Transportation, highlighted the department’s efforts this year to accelerate timelines, enhance progress, and promote investment, all aimed at accelerating the start of these key projects.
This year alone, Qinghai will continue work on 20 existing road projects and launch nine new ones. As of October 20, the transportation department has achieved a fixed asset investment totaling 9.538 billion RMB, which is 73.4% of this year’s target. The department aims to complete key projects, including the Ledu to Hualong expressway and the G213 road from Rewater to Mapi Temple, by the end of the year.
